Matt Taylor Known for his prowess as co-founder, main songwriter and lead guitarist of psych surf band The Growlers, embarks on a new creative journey with his solo project, Yasawa Group. Yasawa, the opening salvo of the Fijian lexicon's fifteen words for heaven. In this he continues to “bend sound” in ways that feel both raw and refined. blending pop sensibilities, surf rock, and world influences. Taylor’s ability to craft songs with a distinct, melancholic yet upbeat signature sound (Beach goth) shines through in every track, pastel colors being the brightest, with his trademark style—upbeat jangly guitars, heavy bass lines, and simplified, bittersweet melodies. Through this fresh musical endeavor, Taylor’s voice emerges anew—one that feels intimate, yet expansive. 

The Candies are a rock n’ roll band based out of Topanga Canyon. They blend elements of 70’s rock n’ roll with power pop, and layers of melodic harmonies. Drawing influences from classic acts such as The Byrds, The Velvet Underground, and the Replacements, The Candies create music that is a mash-up of multiple styles and genres, distilled into a refreshing new sound
